Mommy Mondays: Teresa Mother of R.I.B.s ShayNefeteria

Happy Monday Ribsters!

Today on the blog we have my Mama: Teresa Quiñones RN, BSN, CHPN

How old were you when you had your first child?

21

How many children do you have?

Four girls

What was your biggest expectation when having your first child?

I was scared. Back then my doctor was not big on the sonogram. I was healthy so the doctor saw no need to do extra testing. Everyone that saw me said 'That's a big baby!' I was thinking, 'Don't say that, I have to push this baby out!' The nurses were taking bets on how big you would be.

What are your hopes for your children?

I want my kids to be good people; to have good morals. Women carry stuff on their backs. I love that about women. We are resilient.

What is your most frequently used 'mother line?

I brought you here and I will take you out!

What was your most prideful moment(s) as a mom?

Of course when they were born.

When you and Zyair graduated on the same day.

The birth of my grandchildren. I was in the room for two out of the five.

When your sister Midori became a Pharmacy Technician.

Any advice for other mothers out there?

Believe in your kids. When you see their good, invest in them. Some people are not good at parenting. It is not an art. Meet your children where they are and help when you can.

What are the first words that come to mind when you hear:

Self-Care- Pamper Yourself

Motherhood- Children

Grandkids - Love them dearly

Family-  Everything

Woman-  Strength

Thank you, mom, for joining me for Mommy Mondays on the week of my birthday! You are a blessing and greatly appreciated!

Until next time Ribbies.

Xoxo,
