It's all in the Details

As I mentioned in Once Upon a Owen, weddings are a great deal of work. Those of you who are both the Bride and Wedding Planner... ASK FOR HELP! John 16:24 says: until now you have asked for nothing in my name, ask and you shall receive that your joy may be full (NKJV). Lord knows I prayed up until I walked down that aisle!

I also asked family members as well as church members for resources. Some of our blessings came by surprise (I'll get back to this at a later time). Madblogger's mom took me to the venue that I had my heart set on even though I felt it was well over my budget. Anyone that knows her knows that she can get the best prices in town. I'm in training. I too, like to get a bang for my buck. We left having booked The Davenport for our wedding ( let's face it, it was our parents wedding as much as it was ours).

My Maid of Honor worked diligently to make sure I constantly checked items off my checklists up until the day before the wedding. She also corresponded with the Bridesmaids as I changed my mind a few times as my wedding day approached. My big sis Ca'Rin helped with those checklists as well.

My uncle helped me financially with vendors such as the photographer. The Lazarus Leading Ladies Ministry came together the night before my wedding and made the Sanctuary of Shiloh Baptist Church of New Rochelle fit for a Minimalist Modern yet elegant wedding to take place on a sunny October morning.

My point for any of you who have missed it... ASK FOR HELP!

I was literally asking for help up until the rehearsal😁! Thank you Sanchia (My Day of Event Coordinator) and Kierra ( The Programs were beautiful)!

Stay tuned for my vendors with ratings!
